Our 2010 Small Biz Award Finalists Are Getting Excited…

My colleague Diane forwarded an email she received today from Marvin Klein.  Klein is Chairman of PortionPac Chemical Corporation.  Based in Winning Workplaces’ hometown of Chicago, PortionPac is one of the 40 finalists for our 2010 Top Small Company Workplaces award with Inc. Magazine.

Here’s what Klein said in his email update to his contacts:

As some of you know, our company is anxiously awaiting the June Issue of Inc. Magazine and the Winning Workplaces competition results.  We know we are one of 40 finalists competing with the likes of Patagonia and the New York Jets…imagine that, PortionPac competing with the New York Jets…I guess I better get Jerry Goldman to practice his place kicking.

Anyway, it has been a great experience for us as their review involved everyone from our company, plus customers, suppliers, and retirees.  We appreciate the opportunity that Winning Workplaces and Inc. Magazine have given us.

The excitement on our end is palpable as well.  We’re 16 days out from when the June Inc. issue, with coverage on this year’s award winners, will arrive in subscribers’ mailboxes.  And we’re 19 days out from when the issue will be available on newsstands.
